Oats: A Healthy Grain with Energy

We might have avoided it as the world's most boring breakfast as kids, but oats are one of the biggest sources of food energy for athletes and fitness junkies. This whole grain takes the prize as one of the healthiest grains you can find, and are commonly a go-to breakfast for a quick power fuel.

โฅ๏ธ They provide an excellent source of good carbs and fibres, especially beta glucan - strongly linked to improving cholesterol levels and boosting heart health.
๐ They are packed with healthy vitamins and minerals like vitamin B1, B5 and small amounts of B6, manganese , phosphorus, magnesium and iron.

You can get your oat intake by enjoying oatmeal a few times a week, or bake some heart-healthy oatmeal cookies, muffins, granola bars or even oatmeal pancakes.

Or try this simpler version:
โข ยฝ cup of oats
โข 1 cup of oat milk
Mix both in a pot until the milk is absorbed by the oats, then add fruits of your choice, nuts, cinnamon, chia seeds and maybe some date syrup.
